How do I Transfer My Assets?Updated a day ago

Transferring your DIMO device, connected vehicle, or both to a new account is a straightforward and secure process that can be easily completed via the DIMO App, ensuring a seamless ownership transition.


🚨 Please ensure you have the following to proceed:

  • The recipient's wallet address or your new wallet address is on the Polygon Network.
  • You have enough Polygon Matic tokens to cover transaction fees.


To ensure a smooth transition, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the DIMO app.

Step 2: Tap on "Account" on the bottom. 

Step 3: Select "Advanced"

Step 4: Click on "Transfer Assets"

Step 5: Select which vehicles and device you want to transfer (you can only transfer one vehicle and device at a time).

Step 6: Once you select the vehicle and the device attached to that vehicle, click on Next.

Step 7: Enter the recipient wallet address.

Step 8: Confirm Transaction

  • Confirm the transaction within the DIMO app and ensure that you have a sufficient amount of Matic tokens in your account to cover the transaction fees.

Step 9: Completion

  • After confirming the transaction, exit out of the app, and log back in.


Congratulations, your vehicle and device have been successfully transferred to the new owner's account.
