If your Android phone does not support Passkeys, you must stay on an older version of the DIMO mobile app. Please uninstall your DIMO mobile app first before downloading this version.
Add Passkey to iOS Devices
DIMO only supports iPhone 8 and newer.
To add a passkey to your iOS device, follow these steps:
- Ensure your device meets the requirements:
- iPhone: iOS 16 or later
- iPad: iPadOS 16 or later
- Turn on iCloud Keychain:
- Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Keychain
- Toggle the switch to the “On” position
Add Passkey to Android Devices
To add a passkey to your Android device, follow these steps:
- Ensure your device meets the requirements:
- Your Android device must be running at least Android 9.0 (Pie) and have biometric authentication (such as a fingerprint sensor or facial recognition) or a secure screen lock method (PIN or pattern) enabled.
- Sign into your Google account:
- Make sure you’re signed into your Google account on your Android device.
- Enable passkeys:
- On your phone go to Settings > Passwords, passkeys & accounts and toggle the switch to enable passkeys.
- Set up biometric authentication:
- If you haven’t already, set up biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial recognition) or a secure screen lock method (PIN or pattern).
- Create a passkey:
- Once enabled, your device will automatically create a passkey for your Google account. You can verify this by going to your Google account security settings and checking for the passkey entries.
