Add Passkey to iOS Devices

DIMO only supports iPhone 8 and newer. 

To add a passkey to your iOS device, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your device meets the requirements:
    • iPhone: iOS 16 or later
    • iPad: iPadOS 16 or later
  2. Turn on iCloud Keychain:
    • Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Keychain
    • Toggle the switch to the “On” position
  3. Have the Passwords app installed
    • Go to the app store
    • Search for Passwords by apple

Add Passkey to Android Devices

To add a passkey to your Android device, follow these steps:

  • Ensure your device meets the requirements
    • Your Android device must be running at least Android 9.0 (Pie) and have biometric authentication (such as a fingerprint sensor or facial recognition) or a secure screen lock method (PIN or pattern) enabled.
  • Sign into your Google account
    • Make sure you’re signed into your Google account on your Android device.
  • Enable passkeys
    • On your phone go to Settings > Passwords, passkeys & accounts and toggle the switch to enable passkeys.
  • Set up biometric authentication
    • If you haven’t already, set up biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial recognition) or a secure screen lock method (PIN or pattern).
  • Create a passkey
    • Once enabled, your device will automatically create a passkey for your Google account. You can verify this by going to your Google account security settings and checking for the passkey entries.
