What do the lights mean?Updated 3 months ago

AutoPi

Your DIMO AutoPi device has two LED indicators labeled “Blue” and “Green”. Each LED indicator specifies a different meaning:

  • Blinking Blue: The device is turning on and it may take between 25-30 seconds to completely boot up.
  • Solid Blue: The device has successfully powered on and is ready for use.
  • Breathing Blue, No Green: The device has gone into hibernation mode.
  • Blinking Green: The device is currently searching for a network to connect to.
  • Solid Green: The device has successfully connected to the network, either through LTE or WiFi.
  • Rapidly Flashing Green: The device is undergoing an update, which could take between 5-20 minutes to complete.


Macaron

Your DIMO Macaron device has two LED indicators that can cycle between different colors:

  • Blinking Blue: The device is not connected to Bluetooth. This light will continuously blink as you drive.
  • Solid Blue: The device is connected via Bluetooth to your phone.
  • Solid Red: The device doesn’t have a GPS lock.
  • Solid Green: The device has locked onto a GPS signal.
  • Amber and Purple: The device is booting up.


R1

Your DIMO R1 device has four LED indicators that can cycle between different colors:

  • Red (power/Ignition Status)
    • Solid: ignition is on, and power is provided
    • Short blink: Ignition is off, and power supply is provided
    • Fast blink: on battery backup
    • Slow blink: Sleep mode
  • Orange (network connectivity status)
    • Solid: The device is currently searching for a network to connect to
    • Slow blink: Connected to network and internet
    • Short blink: Connected to network, no internet
    • Fast blink: No connection
  • Green (GPS / BLE 5.1)
    • Solid: GPS fix acquired and BLE 5.1 paired and connected
    • Short blink: GPS fix acquired and BLE 5.1 is not connected
  • Blue (auto-configuration status)
    • Solid: auto-configuration completed
    • Short blink: auto-configuration is in progress
    • Off: auto-configuration failed or was not configured
